A bus service operated by Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire

Halton Lea North Closure
Sunday 14 September 2025 – Sunday 1 March 2026

Please be advised that Halton Lea North Bus Station will be closed from Monday, 15th September 2025 due to major improvement works on the busway. These works are expected to last approximately six months.

During this period, a temporary bus station will operate from Second Avenue (former taxi rank), located directly beneath Halton Lea North.

Buses will be on diversions and may take slightly longer to complete journeys. Please give yourself extra time to make your journeys.

As a result of the diversion routes, Arriva and Stagecoach will introduce new timetables for all services, effective from Monday, 15th September 2025.

Sutton Weaver Swing Bridge
Monday 16 – Saturday 21 February 2026

From Monday 16th February to Saturday 21st February 2026, essential repair work at Sutton Weaver Swing Bridge will affect services.

Stagecoach 2, 2A, 2X -
During this period, services will terminate at Frodsham (Bears Paw) and will not operate between Frodsham and Runcorn. Journeys towards Chester will start from Lloyds Bank, Frodsham.

The timetable will remain unchanged between Chester and Frodsham, however journeys between Frodsham and Runcorn will be temporarily removed. This has been reflected in the timetable below when you change the dates.

Please note that the Arriva X30 is also diverted, and so there will be no journey options at all between Frodsham and Runcorn.
Evening X30 journeys between Chester and Frodsham ran by Stagecoach are unaffected
