Crank Road, at the junction of Fairfield Gardens, will be closed from Monday 12 October 2026 for approximately 5 days.

Services 37 and 37A

• From St Helens will be as normal route to Rainford Bypass, then continue via Rainford Bypass, Mill Lane, Higher Lane, then as normal route to Ormskirk/Southport. (Omits Crank Road, Crank Hill, Red Cat Lane and a section of Higher Lane).
Alternative bus stop: Rainford Road, near East Lancashire Road and Higher Lane, opposite Mill House Farm.

• From Ormskirk/Southport will be as normal route to Higher Lane, Mill Lane, Rainford Bypass, Rainford Road, then as normal route to St Helens. (Omits a section of Higher Lane, Red Cat Lane, Crank Hill and Crank Road).
Alternative bus stop: Higher Lane, near Mill House Lane and Rainford Road, opposite Bleak Hill Road.
