Leigh Guided Busway - Full Closure
Saturday 1 – Monday 3 August 2026
The guided busway will be closed between East Bond Street and Newearth Road. All stops between these points (except Astley Street) will be closed in both directions. As a result, services will be on diversion.
Services towards Manchester will divert via College Street, Guest Street, Holden Road, Manchester Road, Princess Avenue, Astley Street, Elliot Street, Castle Street, Shuttle Street, Manchester Road, Sale Lane, Mosley Common Road, Bridgewater Road and Newearth Road to resume normal route. Services to Leigh will divert via Neweath Road, Bridgewater Road, Mosley Common Road, Sale Lane, Manchester Road, Astley Street, Princess Avenue, Manchester Road, Holden Road, The Ave and Market Place to resume normal route. Passengers can get on or off at the bus stops along the diversion route.
