From Liverpool as normal via Sir Thomas Street, Whitechapel, Crosshall Street, Victoria Street, Old Haymarket, then via Byrom Street, Scotland Road, Stanley Road, then as normal route to Thornton (omitting Dale Street, Hatton Garden, Vauxhall Road and Commercial Road).
From Thornton as normal to Stanley Road, then continue via Stanley Road, Scotland Road, Leeds Street, Vauxhall Road, then as normal route to Liverpool (omitting Commercial Road and a section of Vauxhall Road)

Service 56

From Liverpool as normal via Sir Thomas Street, Whitechapel, Crosshall Street, Victoria Street, Old Haymarket, then via Byrom Street, Scotland Road, Stanley Road, then as normal route to Netherton (omitting Dale Street, Hatton Garden, Vauxhall Road and Commercial Road).
From Netherton as normal to Melrose Road, then via Stanley Road, Scotland Road, Leeds Street, Vauxhall Road, then as normal route to Liverpool (omitting Commercial Road and a section of Vauxhall Road).

Service 58A
