Sheffield Centre Fitzalan Sq - Ponds Forge To City

From Saturday 28 March until Sunday 12 April 2026 (At All times)

Works to replace worn rails on the tram network on City Road, Manor Top, Ridgeway Road and Spring Lane are scheduled to commence and will affect Blue and Purple route tram services

Services will not be able to operate between Sheffield Station/Sheffield Hallam University and Gleadless Townend during the works.

Blue route tram services will only operate Malin Bridge to Sheffield Station/Sheffield Hallam University and Gleadless Townend to Halfway at the normal frequency.

Purple route tram services will be suspended

Yellow and Tram Train services will operate as normal

A dedicated tram replacement bus service, BP1, will operate between Fitzalan Square and Herdings Park

Bus services 7, 7A, 8, 8A, 9, 9A, 10A, 50, 50A, 53, 70, 70A, 73, 120, 120K that normally use City Road are also subject to diversion
