Stretton Way will be closed at Wilson Road, from Monday 20 July 2026 for approximately 10 weeks.

Service 248 (0610, 0640 and 0713 journeys from Prescot Bus Station)

From Prescot Bus Station will travel as normal to Ellis Ashton Street, then via Link Road, Wilson Road, then as normal route to Huyton Bus Station (omitting a section of Ellis Ashton Street, Stretton Way and a section of Wilson Road).
This service will call at the stop on Wilson Road, opposite Link Road.
Service 248 (0645, 0715 and 0748 journeys from Huyton Bus Station)

From Huyton Bus Station will travel as normal to Manor Farm Road, then via Wilson Road, Hall Lane, Ellis Ashton Street to Link Road, then as normal route to Prescot (omitting Stretton Way and a section of Ellis Ashton Street).
This service will call at the stop on Wilson Road, opposite Link Road.

Lickers Lane (Whiston)
08:00 – 18:00, Saturday 18 – Sunday 19 July 2026

Lickers Lane will be closed from 08:00 hrs until 18:00 hrs from the junction of Windy Arbour Road to the junction of Fox’s Bank Lane on Saturday 18th July 2026 until Sunday 19th July 2026.The closure is expected to be in place for 2 days.

Service 248 will operate as normal from Huyton Bus Station to Greenes Road, then via Dragon Lane, Milton Avenue, Cumber Lane, then resume normal route to Prescot (omitting Windy Arbour Road, Lickers Lane, and a section of Cumber Lane).
Alternative stops: Greenes Road, opposite Paradise Lane; and Cumber Lane, near Milton Avenue.
will operate as normal from Prescot to Cumber Lane, then via Milton Avenue, Dragon Lane, Dragon Drive, Greenes Road then resume normal route to Huyton Bus Station (omitting a section of Cumber Lane, Lickers Lane, and Windy Arbour Road).
Alternative stops: Cumber Lane, opposite Milton Avenue; and Pottery Lane, near Greenes Road.
