Stretton Way will be closed at Wilson Road, from Monday 20 July 2026 for approximately 10 weeks.

Service 248 (0610, 0640 and 0713 journeys from Prescot Bus Station)

From Prescot Bus Station will travel as normal to Ellis Ashton Street, then via Link Road, Wilson Road, then as normal route to Huyton Bus Station (omitting a section of Ellis Ashton Street, Stretton Way and a section of Wilson Road).
This service will call at the stop on Wilson Road, opposite Link Road.
Service 248 (0645, 0715 and 0748 journeys from Huyton Bus Station)

From Huyton Bus Station will travel as normal to Manor Farm Road, then via Wilson Road, Hall Lane, Ellis Ashton Street to Link Road, then as normal route to Prescot (omitting Stretton Way and a section of Ellis Ashton Street).
This service will call at the stop on Wilson Road, opposite Link Road.

Cumber Lane will be closed, between Haslemere and Keats Avenue, from Monday 10 August2026 for approximately 5 days.

Service 248
• From Huyton Bus Station will be as normal route to Greenes Road, then via Windy Arbour Road, Lickers Lane, Pennywood Drive to Whiston Merseyrail Station, Pennywood Drive, Lickers Lane, Windy Arbour Road, Dragon Lane, Cross Lane, then as normal route to Prescot Bus Station. (Omits a section of Lickers Lane,Cumber Lane,Stoney Lane,a section of Dragon Lane and Dragon Drive).
Alternative bus stop: Lickers Lane,near Windy Arbor Road and Whiston Interchange,Cross Lane,near Dragon Lane, stop B.
• From Prescot Bus Station will be as normal route to Cross Lane, Dragon Lane, Windy Arbour Road, Lickers Lane,Pennywood Drive to Whiston Merseyrail Station, Pennywood Drive, Lickers Lane, Windy Arbour Road, Greenes Road, then as normal route to Huyton Bus Station.(Omits Dragon Drive,a section of Dragon Lane,Stoney Lane,Cumber Lane and a section of Lickers Lane).
Alternative bus stop: Whiston Interchange, Cross Lane, near Dragon Lane, stop C and Lickers Lane, opposite Fisher Avenue.
