39f Newry, Buscentre - Warrenpoint, Square

Due to road works , the a2 Dual Carriageway Newry bound from Warrenpoint will be fully closed on the following weekends in May 2026 from 19:00 Friday until 06:00 Monday each weekend. 

Ulsterbus 39 services will be affected. 

The road closures are in effect from:
Friday 8th May 2026 from 19:00 until Monday 11th May 2026 06:00.Friday 15th May 2026 from 19:00 until Monday 18th May 2026 06:00.Friday 22th May 2026 from 19:00 until Monday 25th May 2026 06:00.
Passengers will be picked up at Warrenpoint Square as normal.

The Old Warrenpoint Road, Newry‑bound, will not be served during these closures.

Newry‑bound services will operate via the following diversion:
Warrenpoint Square, a2 Newry Street, Meeting Street, Charlotte Street, Duke Street, Upper Dromore Road, Milltown Street (Burren), Bridge Road, Derryleckagh Road, Hilltown Road to Newry Bus Station.
