Bus Service Change - X50/30

Sunday 4 – Sunday 11 January 2026

From Sunday 4 January, we’re making some major changes to bus X50, partly funded by Salford City Council. All journeys will be rerouted to run via Trafford Road, The Quays, Ordsall Lane, part of Regent Road, Liverpool Road and Great Bridgewater
Street instead of Chester Road and Whitworth Street West. This will provide new bus connections between Manchester city centre, Trafford Park, Trafford Centre and Salford Quays, as well reintroducing buses along Ordsall Lane. We’re also adding extra early morning and later evening journeys in both directions, every day of the week. All journeys will also be renumbered 30.
