Walkers Lane will be closed between Chester Lane and Hazelwood Close from Monday 26 January 2026 for approximately 4 days.

Service 17 Arriva
• From Widnes will operate as normal route to Jubits Lane, then continue via Jubits Lane to Gartons Lane and resume normal route to St Helens Bus Station/Laffak (Omits Forest Road, Walkers Lane and a section of Jubits Lane).
Alternative bus stops: Jubits Lane, near Bell Lane and Gartons Lane, near Jubits Lane.
• From Laffak/St Helens Bus Station will operate as normal route to Gartons Lane, then left onto Jubits Lane and resume normal route to Widnes (Omits a section of Jubits Lane, Walkers Lane and Forest Road).
Alternative bus stops: Gartons Lane, near Jubits Lane and Jubits Lane, opposite Tennyson Street.

Service 32 Arriva
Daytime services to/from Clock Face, Four Acre Lane are unaffected.
Evening services
• From Sutton Manor will commence from the stop on Gartons Lane, near Cannon Street, then operate as normal route to Clinkham Wood (Omits Forest Road, Walkers Lane and Jubits Lane).
• From Clinkham Wood will operate as normal route to Leach Lane, then right onto Clock Face Road, then via Clock Face Road, Four Acre Lane, Chester Lane, Jubits Lane to Gartons Lane and terminate service on Gartons Lane, near Cannon Street (Omits a section of Clock Face Road, Gartons Lane, Jubits Lane and Forest Road).
Alternative bus stop: Leach Lane, near Taunton Avenue.

Service 720
• From Clock Face will operate as normal route to Gartons Lane, then right onto Jubits Lane and resume normal route to St Cuthberts High School (Omits a section of Jubits Lane, Forest Road and Walkers Lane).
• From St Cuthberts High School will operate as normal route to Jubits Lane, then continue via Jubits Lane and resume normal route to Clock Face (Omits Walkers Lane, Forest Road and a section of Jubits Lane).

Service 774
• From Sutton Heath will operate as normal route to Walkers Lane, then via Forest Road, Jubits Lane to Gartons Lane, then as normal route to Haydock High School (Omits a section of Walkers Lane and a section of Jubits Lane).
• From Haydock High School will operate as normal route to Gartons Lane, then left onto Jubits Lane to Forest Road, then via Forest Road to Walkers Lane and resume normal route to Thatto Heath (Omits a section of Jubits Lane and a section of Walkers Lane).
