Church Road will be closed (westbound only) on Wednesday 25th February 2026 from 2100 hrs until 0500 hrs at the junction of Netherton Way to the junction of Hawthorne Road. The closure is expected to be in place for 1 night.

From Liverpool as normal to Linacre Lane, then via Hawthorne Road to continue along Hawthorne Road, then resume normal route to Netherton (omitting a section of Linacre Lane, Watts Lane, Orrell Road and Church Road).

From Netherton as normal to Hawthorne Road, this service will continue along Hawthorne Road to Linacre Lane and resume normal route to Liverpool (omitting Church Road, Orrell Lane, Watts Lane and a section of Linacre Lane).

From Aintree University Hospital as normal to Dunnings Bridge Road, then via Boundary Road, Sterrix Lane, Gorsey Lane, Sefton Road, Hawthorne Road to Church Road, and resume normal route to Walton (omitting a substantial section of Church Road).
