Oriel Road will be closed from Monday 11 May 2026 for approximately 10 days.

Services 81, 81A and 881

From Speke and Liverpool John Lennon Airport will travel as normal to Balliol Road, then via Stanley Road, Merton Road, Washington Parade to Bootle Bus Station (omitting a section of Balliol Road, Oriel Road and a section of Merton Road).
These services will call at the stop on Balliol Road, near Hawthorne Road.
From Bootle Bus Station will travel as normal to Washington Parade, then via Merton Road, Stanley Road to Balliol Road, then as normal routes to Speke, Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Speke, Jaguar Land Rover Factory (omitting a section of Merton Road, Oriel Road and a section of Balliol Road).
These services will call at the stops at Bootle Bus Station, Stand 2; and Balliol Road, near Stanley Road.

Service 235

From Bootle Bus Station via Netherton Way to Bootle Bus Station is unaffected.
From Bootle Bus Station will travel as normal to Millers Bridge, then via Balliol Road, Stanley Road, Merton Road to Irlam Road, then as normal route to Bootle Bus Station (omitting Oriel Road).
This service will call at the stops on Millers Bridge, near Derby Road; and Irlam Road, near Church Gardens.

Washington Parade will be closed, at Marsh Lane, on Sunday 10 May 2026 between 1830 and 0100, and on Monday 11 May, Tuesday 12 May and Wednesday 13 May 2026, between 2000 and 0100 each night.

From Speke and Liverpool John Lennon Airport will travel as normal to Balliol Road, then via Stanley Road to terminate on Stanley Road, near Bootle Strand Shopping Centre (omitting Oriel Road, Merton Road, Washington Parade and Bootle Bus Station).
These services will call at the stop on Balliol Road, near Hawthorne Road.
From Bootle will commence from Stanley Road, opposite Bootle Strand Shopping Centre, then travel via Stanley Road to Balliol Road, then as normal routes to Speke and Liverpool John Lennon Airport (omitting Bootle Bus Station, Washington Parade, Merton Road, Oriel Road and section of Balliol Road).
These services will call at the stops at Bootle Interchange, Stanley Road, The Strand, Stop C; and Balliol Road, near Stanley Road.
