Church Road will be closed (westbound only) on Wednesday 25th February 2026 from 2100 hrs until 0500 hrs at the junction of Netherton Way to the junction of Hawthorne Road. The closure is expected to be in place for 1 night.

From Bootle Strand as normal to Menai Road, then via Park Lane to Orrell Lane and resume normal route to Aintree Station (omitting Watts Lane, Harris Drive, Kirkstone Road South, Church Road and Netherton Way).
Alternative stops; Menai Road, opposite Watts Lane; and Orrell Lane, near Netherton Way.
From Aintree Station as normal to Orrell Lane, then continue onto Park Lane, then continue onto Menai Road, then resume normal route to Bootle Strand (omitting Netherton Way, Church Road, Kirkstone Road South, Harris Drive and Watts Lane).
Alternative stops; Orrell Lane, near Baileys Drive; and Menai Road, near Watts Lane.
