Monday 10 August 2026 – Wednesday 31 March 2027

Walton Breck Road/Oakfield Road, between Sleepers Hill and Kemp Avenue (Eastbound only), will be closed from Monday 10 August 2026 for approximately 7 months due to regeneration works.

Services 17, 17A and 17X

• From Liverpool city centre will be as normal routes to Everton Road, then via Breck Road, Priory Road, Utting Avenue, then as normal routes to Kirkby/Aintree University Hospital. (Omits Heyworth Street, St Domingo Road, Everton Valley, Walton Breck Road, Wylva Road and Arkles Lane).
Alternative bus stops: Everton Road, opposite Lloyd Close; all stops on Breck Road; all stops on Priory Road and Utting Avenue, near Priory Road.

• From Kirkby/Aintree University Hospital will travel as normal routes to Walton Breck Road but will not use the bus stops: 40055A (Walton Breck Road, opposite Liverpool Football Club); 40126A (Walton Breck Road, near Venice Street); and Walton Breck Road, near Burleigh Road North).
Alternative bus stop: Arkles Lane, near Anfield Road and St Domingo Road, near Everton Valley.

• From Liverpool city centre will be as normal routes to St Domingo Road, then via Walton Lane, Priory Road, Utting Avenue, then as normal routes to Kirkby/Aintree University Hospital. (Omits Walton Breck Road, Wylva Road and Arkles Lane).
Alternative bus stops: St Domingo Road, near Everton Valley; all bus stops on Walton Lane; all bus stops on Priory Road; and Utting Avenue, near Priory Road.

• From Kirkby/Aintree University Hospital will travel as normal routes to Walton Breck Road but will not use the bus stops: 40055A (Walton Breck Road, opposite Liverpool Football Club); 40126A (Walton Breck Road, near Venice Street); and Walton Breck Road, near Burleigh Road North).
Alternative bus stop: Arkles Lane, near Anfield Road and St Domingo Road, near Everton Valley.
