East Lancashire Road, between Landford Avenue and Lower Lane, will be restricted from Tuesday 9 June 2026 for approximately 6 weeks.

Services 17 and 17A

• From Queen Square Bus Station will be as normal route to Townsend Avenue, then via left into East Lancashire Road, Stopgate Lane, Long Lane, Lower Lane, then as normal route to Aintree University Hospital/Knowsley Industrial Park. (Omits a section of East Lancashire Road).
Alternative bus stop: Townsend Avenue, near Faversham Road and Aintree University Hospital, Lower Lane, Main Entrance.

• From Knowsley Industrial Park/Aintree University Hospital will be unaffected.

Service 19

• From Queen Square Bus Station will be as normal route to East Lancashire Road, then via Townsend Avenue, Utting Avenue East, Storrington Avenue, Stonebridge Lane, East Lancashire Road, then as normal route to Kirkby Bus Station. (Omits a section of East Lancashire Road).
Alternative bus stop: East Lancashire Road, outside no. 49 and East Lancashire Road, near Stonebridge Lane.

Lower Lane (17/17A diversion) from Tuesday 14 July 2026 for 3 days.

• From Liverpool will be as normal route to Townsend Avenue, then via left onto East Lancashire Road, Stopgate Lane, Long Lane, Brookfield Drive, Lower Lane, then as normal route to Aintree University Hospital/Kirkby. (Omits a section of East Lancashire Road and a section of Lower Lane).
Alternative bus stop: Townsend Avenue, near Faversham Road.

• From Aintree University Hospital/Kirkby will be as normal route to Lower Lane, then via Brookfield Drive, Long Lane, Stopgate Lane, East Lancashire Road, Townsend Avenue, then as normal route to Liverpool. (Omits a section of Lower Lane and a section of East Lancashire Road).
Alternative bus stop: Aintree University Hospital, Lower Lane, near Delagoa Road, stop H and Townsend Avenue, near Sedgemoor Road.
