Higher Road (Halewood)

From Thursday 8 January 2026

Bus services serving Higher Road will be diverted to serve Wood Road in both directions from Wednesday 07 January 2026 until further notice. Torrington Road will also be closed from 15 January for 4 weeks

Service 3, 75, 78, 217 and 217A
• From Huyton, Liverpool and Kirkby will operate as normal routes to Higher Road, then via Wood Road, Leathers Lane to Halewood Shopping Centre (Omitting a section Higher Road and a section of Leathers Lane).
Alternative bus stop: Higher Road, opposite Blackburne Drive.
• From Halewood Shopping Centre will operate as normal routes to Leathers Lane, then continue via Leathers Lane, Wood Road to Higher Road, then resume normal routes to Huyton, Liverpool and Kirkby (Omitting a section of Leathers Lane and a section of Higher Road).
Alternative bus stops: Halewood Shopping Centre and Higher Road, near Torrington Drive.

Higher Road (Halewood)

Higher Road will be closed from Torrington Drive to Leathers Lane between 0800 and 1700 each Saturday and Sunday, for 3 consecutive weekends from Saturday 14 March 2026.

Service 3
• From Fazakerley and Huyton Industrial Estate will operate as normal to Halewood Road, then via Lydiate Lane, Church Road, Baileys Lane, Leathers Lane to Halewood Shopping Centre (omitting Mackets Lane, Arncliffe Road, Camberley Road, Mackets Lane, Higher Road and a section of Leathers Lane).
This service will call at Halewood Road, near Lydiate Lane.
• From Halewood Shopping Centre will operate via Leathers Lane, Baileys Lane, Church Road, Lydiate Lane to Halewood Road, then as normal route to Huyton Industrial Estate (omitting a section of Leathers Lane, Higher Road, Mackets Lane, Camberley Road Arncliffe Road and Mackets Lane).
This service will call at Halewood Shopping Centre and Halewood Road, near Halewood Drive.
