Irby Road will be closed, between Thingwall Road and Somerset Road, from Monday 20 July 2026 for approximately 6 weeks.

Service 22/22A

From West Kirby will travel as normal to Mill Hill Road, then via Thingwall Road, Whaley Lane, Pensby Road, Fishers Lane to Irby Road, then as normal route to Chester Bus Interchange (omitting a section of Thingwall Road and a section of Irby Road).
This service will call at the stops on Mill Hill Road, near Seaview Lane; and Irby Road, near Fishers Lane.
From Chester Bus Interchange will travel as normal to Irby Road, then via Fishers Lane, Pensby Road, Whaley Lane, Thingwall Road to Thurstaston Road, then as normal route to West Kirby (omitting a section of Irby Road).
This service will call at the stops on Irby Road, opposite Fishers Lane; and Mill Hill Road, near Manor Road.

Service X22

From West Kirby will travel as normal to Thurstaston Road, then via Thingwall Road, Whaley Lane, Pensby Road, Fishers Lane to Irby Road, then as normal route to Chester Bus Interchange (omitting a section of Irby Road).
This service will call at the stops on Thurstaston Road, opposite Lyndhurst Road; and Irby Road, near Fishers Lane.
From Chester Bus Interchange will travel as normal to Irby Road, then via Fishers Lane, Pensby Road, Whaley Lane, Thingwall Road to Thurstaston Road, then as normal route to West Kirby (omitting a section of Irby Road).
This service will call at the stops on Irby Road, near Pensby High School; and Thurstaston Road, near Lyndhurst Road.

Service 471 (Arriva)

From Liverpool will travel as normal to Pensby Road, then continue via Pensby Road, Fishers Lane to Irby Road, then as normal route to Heswall Bus Station (omitting Thingwall Road and a section of Irby Road).
This service will call at the stops on Pensby Road, near Barnston Road; and Irby Road, near Fishers Lane.
From Heswall Bus Station will travel as normal to Irby Road, then via Fishers Lane to Pensby Road, then continue via Pensby Road, then as normal route to Liverpool (omitting a section of Irby Road, and Thingwall Road).
This service will call at the stops on Irby Road, opposite Fishers Lane; and Pensby Road, near Arrowe Park Road.

Service 471 (Stagecoach)

From Liverpool will travel as normal to Thingwall Road, then via Thurstaston Road to Telegraph Road, then continue via Telegraph Road, then as normal route to Heswall Bus Station (omitting Irby Road and Quarry Road East).
