Merton Road and Stanley Road (Inbound only) will be closed from Tuesday 7 April 2026 for approximately 17 days.

• From Bootle will be as normal route to Merton Road, then via Stanley Road, Balliol Road, Balliol Road East, Breeze Hill, then as normal route to Aigburth. (Omits a section of Merton Road and a section of Breeze Hill).
Alternative bus stop: Merton Road/opposite St Albans Road and Breeze Hill/Southport Road.

• From Aigburth will be as normal route to Breeze Hill, then via Balliol Road East, Balliol Road, Stanley Road, Merton Road, then as normal route to Bootle. (Omits a section of Breeze Hill and a section of Merton Road).
Alternative bus stop: Breeze Hill/Hill Crest and Merton Road/Stanley Road.

Service 144 (Daytime and Evening services)

• From Bootle Bus Station/Washington Parade then via Strand Road and then as normal route to Litherland. (Omits a section of Washington Parade, Merton Road, Stanley Road and Marsh Lane).
Alternative bus stop: Oxford Road/Worcester Road and Merton Road/St Albans Road.

• From Litherland as normal to Bootle Bus Station.
