• From Queen Square Bus Station will be as normal route to Huyton Hey Road, then via Hall Lane, Wood Lane, Pottery Lane, Greenes Road, Dragon Lane, then as normal route to Halton Hospital. (Omits St Johns Road, Manor Farm Road, Meadow Drive, Tarbock Road, Cronton Road and Windy Arbour Road).
Alternative bus stop: Huyton Bus Station, stand 2 and Whiston Interchange, Cross Lane, near Dragon Lane, stop B.

• From Halton Hospital will be as normal route to Dragon Lane, then via Greenes Road, Pottery Lane, Wood Lane, Hall Lane, Huyton Hey Road, then as normal route to Huyton Bus Station. (Omits Windy Arbour Road, Cronton Road, Tarbock Road, Meadow Drive, Manor Farm Road and St Johns Road).
Alternative bus stop: Whiston Interchange, Cross Lane, near Dragon Lane, stop C and Huyton Bus Station, stand 7.

Ellis Ashton Street, between Brickfields and Link Road, will be closed from Monday 19 October 2026 for approximately 65 days.

Service 248 (Monday to Saturday morning)

From Huyton will be unaffected.

From Prescot will be as normal route to Hall Lane, then continue via Hall Lane, Wilson Road, Manor Farm Road, then as normal route to Huyton. (Omits Ellis Ashton Street, Stretton Way and asection of Wilson Road).
Alternative bus stop: Hall Lane, near De Silva Street and Meadow Drive, near Elizabeth Road.
