Ormskirk Road will be closed Southbound, between East Lancashire Road and Knowsley Lane, from Monday 3 August 2026 for approximately 3 days.

From Tower Hill and Page Moss will travel as normal to Coopers Lane, then via East Lancashire Road, Moorgate Road South, School Lane, then at Knowsley Lane return via School Lane, then as normal routes to Liverpool and Page Moss (omitting Ormskirk Road and a section of Knowsley Lane).
These services will call at the stops on Coopers Lane, near East Lancashire Road; and School Lane, near Knowsley Lane.

Services 217, 217A, 297 and 897

From Kirkby will travel as normal to Coopers Lane, then via East Lancashire Road, Moorgate Road South, School Lane to Knowsley Lane, then as normal routes to Huyton Bus Station, Huyton Industrial Estate and St Helens (omitting Ormskirk Road and a section of Knowsley Lane).
These services will call at the stops on Coopers Lane, near East Lancashire Road; Knowsley Lane, near Tithebarn Road (217,217A, 897); and Tithebarn Road (297).
