• From Bootle Bus Station will be as normal route to Aintree Road, then via Southport Road, Breeze Hill, North Breeze Hill, County Road, then as normal route to Aigburth Vale/Wavertree. (Omits a section of Aintree Road, Hornby Road and Rice Lane).
Alternative bus stop: Aintree Road, near Fernhill Road and County Road, opposite Bedford Road, stop K.

• From Aigburth will be unaffected.

Walton Breck Road/Oakfield Road (Anfield)

Monday 10 August 2026 – Wednesday 31 March 2027

Walton Breck Road/Oakfield Road, between Sleepers Hill and Kemp Avenue (Eastbound only), will be closed from Monday 10 August 2026 for approximately 7 months due to regeneration works.

Services 68, 68A, 68B and 68E

• From Bootle will be as normal route to Spellow Lane, then via left onto Walton Lane, Priory Road, then as normal route to Aigburth. (Omits Walton Lane, Anfield Road, Sleepers Hill, Walton Breck Road, Wylva Road and Arkles Lane).
Alternative bus stop: County Road, near Eton Street; Walton Lane, near Bullens Road; all stops on Priory Road and Priory Road near Wenlock Road.

• From Aigburth will travel as normal route to Walton Breck Road but will not use the bus stops: 40055A (Walton Breck Road, opposite Liverpool Football Club); 40126A (Walton Breck Road, near Venice Street); and Walton Breck Road, near Burleigh Road North).
Alternative bus stop: Arkles Lane, near Anfield Road and Walton Lane, near Florence Street.

Dovedale Road/Queens Drive (Mossley Hill) **Updated - extended/evenings only

20:00 – 06:00, Tuesday 25 – Friday 28 August 2026

Queens Drive, between Dovedale Road and Aigburth Vale, will be closed from Wednesday 19 August 2026 for approximately 9 nights (Evenings only), between 2000 and 0600.

• From Bootle Bus Station will be as normal route to Rose Lane, then continue via Rose Lane, Elmswood Road, then as normal route to Aigburth Vale. (Omits Dovedale Road, Queens Drive, Aigburth Vale and Victoria Road).
Alternative bus stop: Rose Lane, near Mather Avenue.

• From Aigburth Vale will be as normal route to Ashfield Road, then via Elmswood Road, Rose Lane, then as normal route to Bootle Bus Station. (Omits Victoria Road, Aigburth Vale, Queens Drive and Dovedale Road).
Alternative bus stop: Ashfield Road, near Elmswood Road and Rose Lane, near Reedale Road.

Walton Breck Road/Oakfield Road (Anfield) - Part Two
