From Aigburth Vale will travel as normal to Ashfield Road, then via Elmswood Road to Rose Lane, then continue via Rose Lane, then as normal routes to Bootle Bus Station (omitting Victoria Road, Aigburth Vale, Queens Drive and Dovedale Road).
These services will call at the stops on Ashfield Road, near Elmswood Road; and Rose Lane, near Reedale Road.
From Bootle Bus Station will travel as normal to Rose Lane, then continue via Rose Lane, Elmswood Road, Ashfield Road to Aigburth Vale (omitting Dovedale Road, Queens Drive, Aigburth Vale and Victoria Road).
These services will call at the stop on Rose Lane, near Mather Avenue.

Anfield Stadium Summer Concerts in June 2026, on Friday 12 June; Thursday 25 June; Saturday 27 June and Tuesday 30 June will require various road closures from 1600 on Walton Breck Road, Anfield Road, Arkles Lane, Priory Road and Skerries Road.

Services 68, 68A, 68B and 68E Diversions apply from 1600 hrs.

• From Bootle will be as normal route to Rice Lane, then via Queens Drive, Utting Avenue, Priory Road, then as normal to Aigburth. (Omits County Road, Spellow Lane, Walton Lane, Anfield Road, Sleepers Hill, Walton Breck Road, Wylva Road and Arkles Lane).
Alternative bus stop: Rice Lane, near Denbigh Road and Priory Road, near Wenlock Road.

• From Aigburth will be as normal route to Priory Road, then via Utting Avenue, Queens Drive, Rice Lane, then as normal route to Bootle. (Omits Arkles Lane, Arkles Road, Walton Breck Road, Walton Lane, Spellow Lane and County Road.
Alternative bus stop: Priory Road, near Feltwell Road and Rice Lane, near York Street, stop E.

Aigburth Road (slip road) will be closed, on Friday 26 June 2026 for approximately 1 night, from 1900 until 0600 the next day.

Service 68A

From Bootle Bus Station will travel as normal to Victoria Road, then via Ashfield Road to Jericho Lane, then terminate service (omitting a section of Elmswood Road and Aigburth Vale).
From Aigburth Vale will commence service from Jericho Lane, near Jericho Close (bus stop 43149A), then continue onto Ashfield Road, then as normal route to Bootle Bus Station (omitting Aigburth Vale and Aigburth Road).
This service will call at the stops on Jericho Lane, near Jericho Close; and Ashfield Road, near Elmswood Road.
