A59 Northway will be closed, between Switch Island and Dover Road, between 2100 and 0500 each night, from Thursday 20 August 2026 for approximately 9 nights; and from Tuesday 1 September 2026 for approximately 4 nights.

Services 300 and 310

From Liverpool will travel as normal to Ormskirk Road, then via Switch Island, A5758 Broom's Cross Road, Brickwall Lane, Bridges Lane, Sefton Lane to Liverpool Road South, then as normal routes to Southport/Lydiate and Skelmersdale (omitting Dunnings Bridge Road, A59 Northway and a section of Liverpool Road South).
These services will call at the stops on Ormskirk Road, near Switch Island; and Liverpool Road South, opposite Balmoral Road.
From Southport and Skelmersdale will travel as normal to Liverpool Road South, then via Sefton Lane, Bridges Lane, Brickwall Lane, A5758 Broom's Cross Road, Switch Island to Ormskirk Road, then as normal routes to Liverpool (omitting a section of Liverpool Road South, A59 Northway and Dunnings Bridge Road).
These services will call at the stops on Liverpool Road South, near Balmoral Road; and Ormskirk Road, near Switch Island.
